Spare Tire Carriers FAQ's:

Q: How much rattle does the carrier experience both on and off-road?

A: Our tire carriers are built to be exceptionally sturdy, with minimal to no rattle. The latching system securely clamps the swing arm in place, while the rear locking pin prevents any movement back and forth. This design makes our tire carriers among the most durable and reliable on the market.

Q: How difficult is the tire carrier to install?

A: The installation is not difficult. If you’re able to remove your bumpers, you should be able to install the tire carrier. The most challenging part is often cutting the bumper, as you want to ensure a clean result. I recommend cutting slightly less than needed initially and testing the fit before making further adjustments.

Q: How much weight can the tire carrier support?

A: Our spare tire carrier is designed to support up to a 35" tire without obstructing the passenger side tail light. Additionally, it can hold up to 220 lbs, making it ideal for carrying accessories such as Rotopax and recovery boards to name a few.

Q: Can I add a fold-down table to my tire carrier if I didn’t order it with one initially?

A: If we are still building your tire carrier, we can certainly add the fold-down table to your order. However, if you already have your tire carrier and wish to add the table afterward, you will need to drill and tap the necessary holes in the carrier to mount it.

Q: Do you offer installation services for the tire carrier?

A: Yes, we do offer installation services for the tire carrier. The cost for installation is $250, and the process typically takes about 3 hours.
